NINA DEWEY HAS WORKED UNDER THE LABEL Enienay since graduating from her MA in 2003.
Enienay spells out the letters in her name;
n-i-n-a becomes EN-I-EN-AY.
Everything she makes previously existed as a forgotten
something. Taking unloved garments, she drapes them
round a mannequin, to cut and pin, twist and add,
remove and reflect. Each piece is approached and
reconstructed by Nina individually.
After working under the direction of Roland Mouret,
she returned to her first love; creating her own vision,
a collection of unique, one-off but entirely wearable
womenswear. Nina has since sold to boutiques across
Europe and Japan, as well as attracting the attention
of celebrity stylists and performers.
She finds that selling directly at Spitalfields Traders
Market is the perfect place to be inspired, by the life
around her and most importantly by the customers
themselves. Nina is now delighted to be able to offer
